Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!
Top o' the mornin' to ya!!!
Ahhh St. Patrick's Day - the day for all us fair skinned, freckle faced people to celebrate. We need to celebrate our paleness, because we are going to spend the next six months explaining why we don't have a tan. I find that stating "I have skin cancer" seems to shut people up, with the added bonus of humiliating them.
I don't know if this is a southern thing, but my children enjoy St. Patrick's Day, because it often involves Leprechauns sneaking into their classrooms and messing things up. Things like knocking chairs over, or spilling the trash can. And they leave candy coins for the kids. I don't remember anything like this at all when I was in school. You just wore green. That was the extent of the holiday. And on a few occasions, I think my mom made corn beef and cabbage. Isn't that a special treat!!!I'll always remember picking up Sam from preschool and he asked me if leprechauns were real. I said no, and he burst into tears because he had this whole story to tell. I felt terrible, but someone needs to let a Mom in on these things.

Leprechauns are here up North too-they've left footprints in my classrooms and gold dust too-too bad I completely forgot -this leprechaun completely forgot to make green milk, drop some gold dust and leave a few footprints-I told my kids that since we moved they couldn't find us-I know LAME!
