Don't you have boys? How do you climb the steps? I find that boys cannot go up steps in a straight line-they zig-zag, knocking anything & everything that might be there down (& they don't bother to pick it up) till you yell-Hey who left this here? Then you hear..."Not Me?" by the only likely suspects.
The whole reason for the picture was that we haven't had a bannister for two years. They are finding that their biggest challenge is that they can no longer jump off mid-staircase!
Holy Cow!!! That is amazing! I am so happy for you. We must drink some wine on the new steps to celebrate. Let me know when you are free! It looks so beautiful.
